It’s been a sea of red for the market for a little more than a week now, and not just any red, but major red. There has been some green days sprinkled in but the red days have created some big hits to portfolio. Most of the hot stocks of the year such as Tesla ($TSLA) and Nio ($NIO) have touched down to levels they surpassed 3 months ago. Why is the market red? I believe it is in part a healthy correction, one the market needed after making healthy gains after the election results. I believe the drop also comes from a lot of uncertainty coming from the Fed about yields and stimulus relief, along with looming rumors of inflation rising in the near future. Many investors are beginning to worry after the market seemed to have finished its fall, then fell again. If you are investing long term, DO NOT WORRY. Trust your instincts, and remember why you invested in these companies. The short-term may look weak, but you are in it for the long haul, sometimes you must see a little red before it is all green.
